Notes

This word follows the same pattern of "lhaw" (ears) and "hent" (eyes), in which a primitive dual is fossilised into a modern Sindarin word. As a pair of nostrils is as natural as a pair of ears or eyes, it makes sense to have a dual plural for "nostril".
