Neologism inspired by Gnomish, made of an inverted form of the root √AS beside". According to Paul, this derivation is rather dubious, but he found no better alternatives. This preposition causes soft mutation before consonants and becomes ellided to "s'" before vowels and articles. E.g. "s'en".
