Notes

Neologism based on Icelandic gagnauga "counter-eye" or "opposing eye", which seems to denote the position of the temple as physically against the eye. I used P.E. asa- "beside" and √KHEN, to obtain something akin to "next to the eye". I then pluralised it, but it may be used in the singular when necessary.
